In the movie Isolering (2022), we follow the story of David, who is reeling from the recent departure of his wife and Sandra, who has escaped from an abusive relationship. When their paths cross, David takes Sandra in to care for her injuries, leading to a unique and somewhat peculiar relationship blossoming between them. While David finds solace in feeling needed and valued by Sandra, she finally experiences care and respect that was missing in her life. However, as their connection deepens, the couple becomes increasingly isolated from the outside world, raising questions about David's reluctance to be seen with Sandra and why no one from his circle has ever met her.
As the story unfolds, David's true nature begins to surface, revealing master suppression techniques he employs to control and manipulate Sandra. The film explores whether their relationship has a future or if a tragic event is looming on the horizon. With themes of loneliness, manipulation, and the complexities of human connection, Isolering (2022) offers a compelling and thought-provoking portrayal of two broken individuals finding solace in each other amidst their shared isolation.
