In Green Lantern: First Flight (2009), pilot Hal Jordan's life takes a drastic turn when he is chosen by a dying alien creature and given a powerful ring. This ring grants Hal the honor of becoming a Green Lantern, a member of an elite force committed to maintaining peace and justice across the universe.
