Grind (2003) follows skateboarder Eric Rivers and his friends, Dustin and Matt, as they embark on a summer road trip to chase their dream of becoming professional skateboarders. They hope to impress skating legend Jimmy Wilson during his demo tour and earn a spot on his renowned skate team. However, they are thwarted by Jimmy's road manager and struggle to get noticed.

Undeterred, the trio forms their own skate team, reluctantly sponsored by Dustin's college fund. Along with the addition of ladies man Sweet Lou, they embark on an epic road trip from Chicago to Santa Monica. As outsiders in the professional skateboarding scene, they face numerous challenges and misadventures.

Throughout their journey, they encounter professional skaters such as Bucky Lasek, Bob Burnquist, and Pierre Luc Gagnon, as well as skate pro Bam Margera and his crew. They also meet sexy skate chick Jamie. Together, they push the boundaries of skateboarding and strive for recognition in the industry.

Grind showcases the camaraderie and determination of a group of friends as they chase their passion and overcome obstacles in pursuit of their dreams. With impressive skateboarding tricks and exhilarating road trip moments, the film delivers a mix of action, comedy, and adventure.
