Iron Monkey is a thrilling Hong Kong action film that follows the story of a Robin Hood-esque masked bandit known as Iron Monkey. Set in a corrupt Chinese village, the officials are constantly targeted and robbed by this enigmatic figure who is named after a benevolent deity. In order to put an end to these robberies, the Governor resorts to coercing a traveling physician, played by Donnie Yen, into finding and apprehending Iron Monkey.

However, a new threat emerges in the form of an evil Shaolin monk, leading to a surprising team-up between the Physician and Iron Monkey. This unlikely alliance is formed to combat the pervasive corruption within the government and restore justice and peace to the village.
