When their paths cross, David takes Sandra in to care for her injuries, leading to a unique and somewhat peculiar relationship blossoming between them. While David finds solace in feeling needed and valued by Sandra, she finally experiences care and respect that was missing in her life. However, as their connection deepens, the couple becomes increasingly isolated from the outside world, raising questions about David's reluctance to be seen with Sandra and why no one from his circle has ever met her.
