In the movie Mammoth (2009), the lives of three women are forever altered by the actions of a successful game designer. Successful businessman Leo and his wife, Ellen, seem to have it all – a luxurious Manhattan apartment, a seemingly perfect marriage, and a happy young daughter. However, Leo's constant work demands and Ellen's growing dissatisfaction start to strain their relationship.
Their live-in nanny, Gloria, is an immigrant from the Philippines who left her own children behind to provide for them financially. As Gloria struggles to navigate her complex role within the family, she develops a deep bond with the couple's daughter.
